Brasher/Bogue began 5 years ago simply as two “Real Friends” writing songs together. From that relationship Andy Brasher and Dustin Bogue became an insightful, dynamic combination that people are connecting with on a very personal level, both through their lyrics and the melodic blending of their strong vocal talents.

Each of them bring years of creative experience; singing, songwriting and performing on their own and blend this talent together in the studio and on the to the stage to give the audience a performance filled with energy, relatable lyrics and music they can move to.

Brasher/Bogue has built a solid foundation of respect in the industry and Nashville over the past two years with a style of country music that at times pushes to new limits, while at others it clearly honors the sounds of those who have come before them. The talent that continues to surround the duo is evidence of this industry respect. Brasher/Bogue hosts a monthly showcase at the “Reverb Room” in the Nashville “Hard Rock Cafe” where they have brought in special guests like, Highway 101, Kingbilly, Daryle Singletary, Bobby Pinson, Cody McCarver, Jeremy McComb and David Byrnes among many others.

“The Brasher/Bogue Project” was released in 2009. Each song on the album is written by the duo and gives you a slice of life glimpse. The album is filled with songs that make you laugh like “Perfect Little World”, songs that touch your heart, “I Might Be Lonely” and others like “Outlaw” that make you give a big “hell yeah” People really seem to latch on to their lyrics.

The duo has done countless radio interview pieces and were recently showcased on Fox 17 “Tennessee Mornings”. They have toured from as far south as Florida to up north in the mid-west.

Brasher/Bogue’s fan base and support continues to grow through the their music and in part because both Andy Brasher and Dustin Bogue are approachable, hard working guys who you immediately sense are the type of men that would give you the shirts off their backs.

BIO

Originally an early-1960’s high school “garage band” from Council Bluffs, IA, the Rumbles began playing professionally in 1963 with the original permanent lineup of Rich Clayton and Joe Brunnworth on guitars, Warren “Bud” Phillips on bass guitar and Steve Hough (pronounced “Huff”) on drums. Although he was the last to join as well as the youngest member, Hough is the only remaining “original Rumble” today.

When the Eddy Haddad Entertainment Agency of Omaha assumed management of the group in 1964, the band’s popularity took off. The somewhat strange marriage of the big band leader Haddad and the raucous rock-and-roll band with the soaring vocal harmonies paid off handsomely throughout the 1960’s with several hit songs and huge crowds throughout the Midwest. 1968 brought the monster single “Jezebel”, which went to #1 in several Midwestern radio markets and charted on the Billboard Hot 100

But the one thing that did bring the Rumbles popularity to a halt was something they had little control over – the musical tastes of their core audience. As psychedelic music started to win over young people in the late 60’s and early 70’s, the Rumbles witnessed an unprecedented phenomenon – kids sat down to listen to the music rather than bolting for the dance floor. Consequently, attendance at dances rapidly declined and The Rumbles were soon forced to disband.

The Rumbles went their separate ways in the ensuing years.In 1979, the original Rumbles were asked to do a reunion concert at Omaha’s Peony Park. It would be the first time the band played together in over eight years. The “Rumbles Reunion” dance was such a huge success that the group decided to reform later that year.

As they always like to say,”We started this band to have some fun, and we aren’t giving up until we have some!”
